Enjoy the view from the ARC Rooftop
At the top of Blique by Nobis in Stockholm is ARC Rooftop—a restaurant and rooftop bar where the city’s energy meets sweeping views of the city’s rooftops. Here, guests gather for food, drinks, and experiences high above the streets.
To preserve the view, wire mesh was installed in the railings around the rooftop terrace. The transparent structure provides a sense of security for guests while ensuring that the view remains completely unobstructed.
True transparency
In urban environments, railings are constantly exposed to dirt, rain, and airborne particles. Glass railings therefore require regular cleaning to maintain their transparency—a task that becomes particularly challenging at high elevations, such as rooftop bars and terraces.
Wire mesh made exclusively from 1.5 mm stainless steel wire creates a completely different sense of transparency than traditional fences or metal mesh. The result is a security solution that is virtually invisible, allowing the view to take center stage.
Maintenance-free railing for rooftop environments
The railings at ARC Rooftop were fitted with stainless steel wire mesh—a solution that combines strength, transparency, and durability.
Unlike many other materials, wire mesh does not accumulate dirt in the same way and therefore requires no ongoing maintenance to maintain its functionality or appearance. This makes it particularly suitable for public spaces where safety, design, and operational efficiency must work in harmony.
