The redesign of the Square de la Montagne Verte and Place du 2 Février in the old town of Alsace Colmar gave the city a new green life. The 24 steel arches are linked together with Jakob Rope Systems cables that provide support for the plants to climb up.
The plant-covered green ward creates a corridor reminiscent of a monastery. Just like the medieval monasteries, the green surroundings create a calming space that is very popular with city residents and tourists alike.
